To mark the 200th anniversary of the railways, Welshpool 1940s Weekend Committee in conjunction with the Memories of Welshpool Project have released a calendar featuring rare photographs of some of the lost Railway stations of Montgomeryshire.
These include Abermule, Arddleen, Breidden (Middletown), Buttington, Forden, Kerry, Llanfyllin (pictured), Llanymynech, Montgomery and Pool Quay, to name a few.
Plus, there are images of when the Welshpool & Llanfair Light Railway passed through Welshpool town centre.
The calendars are available from Welshpool Jewellers, Riffels, Alexanders, Hardy’s Bookstore and the Tourist Information Centre priced at £5.
The calendars were produced with the help of a grant from the Cambrian Railway Partnership to celebrate Railway 200.
