School closure following water problem

Ysgol Llanfyllin has sent its pupils home this lunch time following a problem with its water supply.

The school said that a utilities failure was to blame and that the school closed at 1pm with buses returning early and parents asked to go and collect their children.

“Our apologies for the inconvenience caused,” a spokesperson said.

There is currently extensive safeguarding work being carried out at the school site, including new fencing.
