Borfa Green Bank to close for three days

Welshpool County Councillor Graham Breeze has revealed why there was a sudden closure of Borfa Green Bank this morning.

The road was closed off with residents fearing it was due to a repeat of the ice that caused problems earlier in the week.

But it’s much worse, with Cllr Breeze revealing that it could be closed for three days.

“Hafren Dyfrdwy have at last confirmed that they are responsible for this morning’s surprise closure which they say may last for up to three days (January 6-9),” said Cllr Breeze.

“The emergency closure is to allow for repair works to a sluice valve. They say emergency and residents’ access will be maintained via the signposted diversion route.”
