Same again for Welshpool Christmas Lights

Welshpool will be lit up this Christmas in a similar fashion to 2025, but could we see a brand-new display in 2027?

Councillors this week agreed to pay £2,840.27 to repeat the Christmas lights that were on display in 2025, but Cllr Morag Bailey explained why the decision was made.

“It was felt at the committee meeting that with there being a new council elected next year, we should give members then an opportunity to do what they want moving forward.”

The one-year extension on the current deal includes the hire, carriage and storage of the light.
