Waterfall won’t be accessible by road for six weeks

Visitors to the popular Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall are being warned that they could face a bit of a trek after it was confirmed that the access road will be closed for six weeks.

Hafren Dyfrdwy has confirmed that a new water pipe is being installed along the narrow road from November 2-December 18, closing it off to all traffic apart from residents and emergency services.

The waterfall, on the outskirts of Llanrhaeadr, has become one of the most visited in Wales after being used by football star David Beckham in an advertising campaign before Covid.

It attracts visitors from across the UK and further afield, but they will have to use the village parking when accessing the site.
