Rugby club’s dogs plea after messy find

Welshpool Rugby Club has urged dog owners to keep their pets off the pitches after discovering numerous piles of poo today.

The club has asked its U16 coaches to attend the ground earlier than planned tonight to clean up the problem that has been left behind.

“Several bits of dog mess have been spotted on the pitch again,” said a spokesperson. “It means our volunteers do more hours than they already give up picking up after irresponsible dog owners.

“We love dogs, but we really dislike irresponsible dog owners with no regards for children’s safety.”

The problem of dog poo on pitches has been a problem across the area, leading to Guilsfield banning dogs from its recreational school fields all together and using a camera in lockdown to identify offenders.
