Dominoes set for return
With Covid restrictions finally lifted there are plans for Welshpool Dominoes League players to get back around the tables.
The league’s committee members were able to meet last weekend and plans have been revealed to start with just one division in September.
The popular league has been running with two divisions for many years but with several public houses still closed in the area officials have decided to plan for just one division to be launched on September 14.
A statement released reads:
“We are very pleased to announce the Welshpool Dominoes League will start with one division on September 14th. Entry forms for teams must be in by August 21st with £16 entry fee.
“Many of the original teams may not have enough players for a full team so it’s the ideal chance to be sociable and form a brand new team.
“Please contact us if you would like to join a new team as we are keen to keep you all playing All welcome.”
