Rugby sessions are being organised at a Welshpool primary school to provide opportunities for newcomers to play the game that might otherwise have missed out.
The inclusive community rugby club will be held for free on Thursday nights at Welshpool Church in Wales Primary School, from 4-5pm, with an invite for those aged 6-16 with a disability and their non-disabled siblings and friends to enjoy tag rugby, fun and games.
“This is a first for the area and we hope that more clubs will follow across North Wales later in the year,” said a spokesperson for the initiative which sees the Welsh Rugby Union, through Rygbi Gogledd Cymru, team-up with local charity Ponthafren.
