Welshpool Ladies are flying high in the Minsterley and District Rounders Division One, despite a slow start to life at their new home.
The team switched to Buttington Trewern CP School for their home games this season, and has put together a fine run of results to move level on points at the top with Morton. Oswestry are in third in the 11-team league.
Welshpool has also entered a development team in the new border rounders division and they had a fantastic start by winning their first game of the season.
The Ladies play on Tuesday or Wednesdays and are always looking for new players. They meet at 6.30pm for a warm-up with games starting at 7pm. A club spokesperson added that they would like to thank Guilsfield for providing them with a home last year.
The Border Rounders League are on the lookout for new teams for next year, anyone interested should contact borderrounders@outlook.com.
