Adele Nicoll has enjoyed a remarkable start to her first full season as a bobsleigh pilot with a brilliant bronze medal in Race 1 of the two-woman IBSF Europe Cup in Lillehammer, Norway today (Sunday).
After two tremendous days in the Monobob where she finished fourth in both races, she teamed up with Kya Placide to finish third amidst some experienced opposition.
“It was our first ever two-woman race and we got Bronze!” said an ecstatic Adele.
“Not only did we podium, but we had the fastest push start on run 2 and top three on run 1! I am so proud of what we have achieved. It takes a team to get results. Thank you to every single person who supports us.”
But there will be no time for the pair to bask in their glory as they take on Race 2 tomorrow, and then Adele will be joined by Maddy Illsley for Race 3 on Tuesday.
