Airgun launches season’s second half

Action has returned to the Montgomeryshire & District Airgun League for the second half of the season, but even indoor sports can fall victim to the weather.

The flooding meant Crew Green B and Guilsfield B had to postpone, but Llanfair Caereinion hosted Horseshoe CGA with Nick Parr scoring a 34.3 for the hosts and Ed Kelton scoring 35.3 for the visitors. Even having to take a score of 25 for Llanfair they still scored a strong 185.2, but it was Horseshoe who took the victory with 202.2.

Newtown welcomed Pool Quay. Richard Morgan and Tabitha Corbett both achieved a possible for their team (35.3 – 35.5). Martin Pearce led the team with 35.5 also as the visitors ran out 184.9-192 winners.

Castle Caereinion took the short distance to Welshpool Bowling Club who had Az Knight (35.4), Andy Lawrence (35.2) and R Knight (35.3) all achieving possible to stay top with a 203.6-176.7 win.
