Dragon clinch Darts League

The Green Dragon A have clinched the Welshpool and District Darts League, sponsored by The New Saints, after winning the play-off against the Grapes A.

Played at the Westwood, the two have been neck and neck all season and the showdown didn’t disappoint with 12-year-old Rhys Butler recording a 12-dart 501.

Steve Price had a 14-darter while there were 180s on the night for Mitch Butler as well as Rhys.

Rhys, Robin Shingler, Den Williams and Price won on the night for the Dragon A with the only reply from Jordan Harding for the Grapes.

Meanwhile, the Grapes A bounced back to win the League Cup played at the Kings Head Guilsfield, beating the Red Lion Llanfair.

The Kings Head Guilsfield secured the other piece of silverware at the Westwood Welshpool with victory over the Punchbowl.
