Jones takes singles, as Darts League honours champions

The Welshpool and District Darts League Sponsored by The New Saints FC held its presentation on Friday evening alongside its Individual Championship.

There was a superb attendance with the semi-finals seeing Steve Lloyd (Westwood A) and Ben Davies (Grapes A) reach the semi-finals, while Jamie Cater (Grapes A) was beaten by Kacey Jones (Kings Head Guilsfield) who became Champion 2023/2024.

A deserved winner who also took the Player of the Year award by winning more games in Division One than any other player.

Brian Jones (Punchbowl) also had a superb evening by winning the Player of the Year in the Second Division, the £25 Darts Corner voucher for the highest placed second division player in the Individual tournament, and team runners-up in the Will Nunn Cup competition.

The only trophy to be decided is the Charity Shield, donated by Sign and Print, Welshpool, with League Champions Green Dragon A taking on the League Cup winners, The Grapes A. Both teams can include a guest player, with all money made on the evening going to a local charity. More to follow when date is finalised.
