Former Guilsfield manager Nathan Leonard has been appointed to the Newtown hot seat and charged with bringing the good times back to Latham Park.
The Robins were relegated from the JD Welsh Premier this season following a disappointing campaign, but they will be looking to bounce straight back to the top tier.
And it is Leonard that they have turned to, hoping his experience in the JD Cymru North can benefit Newtown.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Lenny to Newtown,” said Chairman, Nick Evans. “His interview was exceptional, and he demonstrated a clear, ambitious plan of how he wants to develop the team both on and off the pitch.
“Hi values align closely with the club’s identity and aspirations. We are confident that he is the right person to lead us into the next chapter of our journey.”
Leonard left Guilsfield at the beginning of last season to take up the assistant manager's role at Newtown but departed the position mid-season.
Newtown will be hoping for a better season as they celebrate 150 years since forming.
