Welshpool Town Reserves return

Welshpool Town Football Club has taken another step towards its long-term goal of re-joining Welsh football’s elite by re-forming a reserve team.

Chris Roberts, one of the star players for the club prior during its 1990’s heydays, will be in charge for the 2025/26 season, with the club hoping to bridge the void between youth and senior football.

“We have some brilliant youngsters coming through our youth sides and as a club believe it is a vital part of the next level in their development, that we have a pathway for them to succeed into the adults’ game,” the club said in a statement.

“Chris Roberts will take charge with the back-room staff to be confirmed.

Training commences tomorrow night (Tuesday) at 7pm at Maesydre.
