Ewan Jones made massive strides to qualifying for the top eight on his debut Welshpool Summer Premier Darts League season with two big wins.
Jones beat last year’s runner-up Steve Price, 4-1, and Neil Astley, 4-0, to put himself on 12 points.
Price got himself back on the board with a 4-1 win over Mitch Butler, with Jordan Harding claiming his first win of the season, also over Butler.
Defending champion, Gary Jones, returned this week with two wins over Rhys Butler and Astley, both scorelines being 4-2.
Another top eight hopeful, Dave Rix, picked up a great win over Rhys Butler and in his second game of the night, he fought back from 3-0 down to draw with Dan Hosiene, who also drew with Cameron Williams. Hosiene also picked up the highest checkout on the night with a stunning 152.
Williams recorded a 4-2 win against Rob Shingler on the night, before the latter produced a fine display to beat Jamie Cater in his second game.
Dan Morgan recorded two wins both over Cater and Haydn Jones who suffered a second defeat of the night to Gareth Ashley who currently sits joint top on points with Ewan and Steve.
