A pair of big wins over quality opposition has seen Steve Price move to the top of the Welshpool Summer Premier Darts League.
Price beat current top eight player, Dave Rix, and ex-Welsh international Neil Astley to reach the top of the tree.
Meanwhile, Rix drew his second game of the night against Mitch Butler who is starting to find some form again, following a win over Dan Hosiene, 4-1, to keep on the tail of the top eight.
Hosiene managed to claw back a 3-1 deficit to claim a vital draw against Gareth Ashley, with Ashley then dispatching Rhys Butler, 4-0, and hitting 2x180 and the highest average of the season (88.41), whilst also claiming the highest checkout of the night (116). Butler managed a draw his second game with Jamie Cater.
Kacey Jones returned to action after a week away to claim a convincing 4-0 win over Rob Shingler and a draw against last year's champion, Gary Jones. Jones added a second draw against debutant Haydn Jones in what turned out to be a frustrating night for the current champion.
Ewan Jones claimed two more wins against Cameron Williams and debutant Jamie Kynaston, which keeps him in the race for qualification. Kynaston also claimed a draw against Dan Morgan who also drew with Shingler.
