Montgomery cricket promotion confirmed
It’s always a nervous wait for teams that don’t win their leagues to find out if they will be promoted but, last night, second placed Montgomery had their good news confirmed.
Skipper Ieuan Griffiths said: “I’m incredibly proud of the team for earning promotion to Division One. It’s a huge achievement and a testament to everyone’s hard work and commitment. We’re excited for the challenges ahead and ready to compete at the next level.”
Chair, Aaron Ruff-Cock, added: “Huge congratulations to the 1st XI on their promotion to Division One - a fantastic achievement and testament to the club’s hard work and spirit.
“Special mention to Ieuan in his first year as captain, leading brilliantly with the lads giving their all. A real team and club effort we can all be proud of.”
Montgomery are promoted alongside champions Knockin.
