Adele clinches silver, a day after gold!

Just 24 hours after securing a brilliant gold medal at the Europa Cup Monobob event in Austria, Welshpool’s Adele Nicoll has secured a silver medal on the same track in Igls.

With just weeks before the Winter Olympics in Milano Cortina, Italy, get underway on February 6, Adele has shown she is in blistering form with back-to-back podiums.

Yesterday’s win over a world-class field of 22 athletes was a real statement, but had she not followed it up today with another brilliant performance, it could have been viewed as a flash in the pan.

But that is not the case after Adele clinched second to earn some very well-deserved respect as prior to yesterday she had never reached the podium as a pilot, and now she has done it twice!

She is not done with Igls yet. On Saturday, she will compete in the two-woman bobsleigh event looking to make her mark with Kya Placide.
