National finals next for tag rugby champs

Buttington Trewern girls have won the regional Urdd Rhanbarth Maldwyn tag rugby tournament held at Newtown.

Despite the very wet and cold conditions, all the schools put in super performances which made for a competitive tournament.

The school’s Team A won the tournament, going unbeaten throughout the day, and will now compete in the National finals in Aberystwyth later this year.
