Maximum madness as Jones lands 150 finish
Jamie Kynaston enjoyed a strong evening, winning 4-2 against Neil Astley before defeating Cam Williams 4-0. Neil contributed a 180 in his opening match, while Jamie also fired in a maximum.
Ewan Jones continued his impressive form with two convincing 4-1 and 4-0 victories over Jamie Cater and Mitch Butler respectively. Ewan produced the highlight of the night with a superb 150 checkout – the highest finish of the season so far – and added three 180s across his matches.
Steve Price was also in sensational form, recording back-to-back 4-0 wins over Rhys Butler, and Oscar Hyland and a 4-1 win over Jon Gamble. Against Rhys, Steve posted an excellent 98.56 average, hit a 180, and sealed the match with a superb 12-dart leg. He added another 180 in his win over Oscar.
Kacey Jones also impressed with victories over Gary Jones and Dan Hosiene. He averaged 90.11 in the win over Gary, with both players hitting a 180 each, while Kacey and Dan also shared maximum honours in their encounter.
Elsewhere, Oscar Hyland and Cam Williams shared the points in a 3-3 draw, as did Dan Hosiene and Jack Price, Jamie Cater and Rhys Butler, and Jack Price and Neil Astley. Gary Jones rounded off the night with a 4-1 victory over Mitch Butler.
A total of 12 maximums were recorded across the evening, with Steve Price and Kacey Jones leading the way with standout performances.
