Week 4 of the Welshpool Premier Darts League sponsored by The Green Dragon Welshpool saw Dan Morgan among the standout performers of the evening, claiming two victories.
Morgan opened with a 4-2 win over Dan Hosiene before following up with a 4-1 success against Jamie Cater. He also fired in a maximum 180 during his second match.
Steve Price strengthened his grip on top spot with a convincing 4-0 victory over Dave Rix, moving on to 14 points after seven matches. The league leader now holds a two-point advantage over nearest challenger Ewan Jones.
Despite defeat in his opening game, Hosiene produced two of the highlights of the night, hitting a superb 180 and taking out a brilliant 118 finish. He later bounced back in style with a 4-1 victory over former champion, Gareth Ashley.
Ewan continued his excellent form with a 4-1 win over Oscar Hyland, recording a 180 along the way to remain firmly in contention.
One of the stories of the season remains 11-year-old Jack Price, who preserved his unbeaten record after battling to a 3-3 draw against Gary Jones before defeating Hyland 4-0 in one of the evenings youth tussles. Price now sits fourth in the standings behind Ewan, Kacey (who returns this week) and his dad, Steve.
Gary Jones enjoyed a productive night overall, whitewashing Alex Howard 4-0 before sharing the points with Jack Price in a closely contested encounter. Howard's evening also included a 4-1 defeat to Rhys Butler in an all-Welshpool Youth Darts clash.
Butler later earned another point from a hard-fought 3-3 draw against Jon Gamble.
Ashley, the 2023 Premier League Champion, recovered from his defeat to Hosiene by producing a dominant 4-0 victory over Rob Shingler who bounced back later in the night, defeating Neil Astley 4-2.
Cam Williams had mixed fortunes, starting the night with an impressive 4-1 win over Neil Astley before suffering a 4-0 defeat to Rix in his second match.
