Commonwealth Games bronze medals are like London buses for Dan Jones - he has waited a lifetime for one and then two come at once!
The former Welshpool High School swimmer (pictured second from left) picked up his second bronze medal of the Glasgow games last night in dramatic style, joining his Team Wales teammates to finish third in the 4x200m Freestyle with another Welsh record.
The quartet of Jones, Matt Richards, Kieran Bird and Tyler Melbourne-Smith cruised home in a time of seven minutes and 9.59 seconds, finishing behind gold medallists Australia and England.
Dan, 29, was rested for the morning heats when his teammates booked their spot in the final, and looked fresh swimming second despite winning his first bronze medal the previous evening for the Mixed 4x100m Freestyle event.
Can he make it more? We can expect Dan to be back in the pool looking for more glory over the coming days.
Meanwhile, teammate and former Welshpool High School pupil Adele Nicoll will be throwing in the shotput this week, and Joshua Whitehouse competes in the Judo towards the end of the multi-sport event.
