Welshpool Town Football Club is looking for a new manager for its women’s team after Mark Roberts announced he was stepping into a new dual role at the club.
Roberts has guided the team through the past couple of seasons in the4 Central Wales Women's League, but family commitments have eaten into his time this season, forcing him to step aside.
He has agreed to take on two administrative posts of Equality Officer and Social & Environmental Sustainability Officer at the club.
Among his responsibilities will be assisting Gareth Watkins, the club’s Head Coach and Coaching Co-ordinator in overseeing coach recruitment and development and making sure that the club’s coaches have got all the FAW training that they need and/or want.
His role will be vital in ensuring the club retains its Platinum accreditation status and that all players receive the best possible training both in the junior and the senior sections.
The search has begun for a replacement with the club advertising for a “passionate and committed Manager to lead our team into an exciting new chapter”.
Candidates can apply through welshpooltownwomenfc@gmail.com or 07855 230447.
