‘Superheroes’ raising funds and awareness

There were a few familiar faces at Meifod Pre-school who brought with them an important message and raised funds.

The setting held a ‘Superheroes’ Tea Party to raise awareness and funds for JDRF, which is the type 1 diabetes charity and a funder of world-class medical research to cure, prevent and treat type 1 diabetes.

The day was particularly relevant for young Osian who has been type 1 diabetic since he was 19 months old. Here, he is pictured with the setting's Charlie Whitehall, who has also been type 1 diabetic for 26 years. Cakes were also sold with a nice sum of £80 raised.
