Rally brings splash of colour to town

Welshpool is no stranger to hosting rallies, but today’s brought plenty of colour into the town.

The Autoraise Rally brought 70 multi-coloured vehicles into town with the teams all wearing fancy dress for theirt lunch time stop over in Welshpool as part of a three-day touring rally of Wales.

AutoRaise is a charitable organisation that promotes the auto industry as a sustainable, attractive and rewarding place to work, and most of the rally cars taking part all cost less than £1,000 and were prepared by apprentices from the participating companies.

The rally is held annually, and reached Berriew Street Car Park as part of its Day One route which finished at Cross Foxes in Brithdir, near Dolgellau.

The rally continues through to Friday.
