The latest fitness trend has reached Welshpool, and has been launched at The Armoury in time to satisfy all those New Year’s fitness resolutions!
Meanwhile, The Armoury itself has launched special January deals for Welshpool to get in shape this year.
Barre workouts are set to the beat of high energy music and is described as a non-stop workout combining the precision of Pilates, alignment of Yoga, technique of Ballet and the strength from sports conditioning.
It has been introduced to Welshpool’s premium health and fitness centre by Ceri Roberts who runs Unique Fitness is the first instructor in Wales to become qualified to teach the course.
“For Unique Physique, I like to keep my ideas fresh and bring my customers something different,” said Ceri. “I like to switch things up and strive to continually be the first with something new! BarreConcept had definitely given me that aspect again. I am currently the only qualified Instructor in Wales and enjoying introducing this to the town.”
The class has become a global favourite, with high profile celebrities including Natalie Portman, Drew Barrymore and Madonna all using it.
Taster session proved popular over the Christmas period and regular classes have now been launched.
“My message is to invite your readers to come and try something different for 2014 and to see what all the fuss is about,” said Ceri (left). “The high energy music makes the workout fun and enjoyable.”
