Ysgol Gymraeg Y Trallwng have come third in the ‘Hip Hop, Street and Disco Group’ at Eisteddfod Yr Urdd, described as an “unbelievable achievement” by its headteacher.

The school competed brilliantly in four competitions at Margam Park in South Wales: Woodwind solo, Theatrical Performance, Two Part Harmony Party and the dance.

Ysgol Gymraeg Y Trallwng have also come home with two gold medals and a silver medal in the homework section. Noah Quayle won the ‘Digital Content’ section with an excellent animation and the school came first and second in creating a website, with Year 3 and 4 the overall winners.

Eisteddfod yr Urdd is Europe's largest youth festival. The Festival is a celebration of the Welsh language, culture and the wealth of young talent in Wales today. Each year approximately 15,000 children and young people compete.
