Health Board's special thank-you to kids

17/04/2020 @ 09:10

As thousands of Powys school children prepare to go back to home schooling after the weekend, the local health board wants to say a special ‘thank-you’ to each and every one of them.

Today marks one month since local schools closed their doors on the orders of the Government, and for the last two weeks the books have been put down and the lap tops closed for the Easter fortnight.

Typically, we have had glorious weather throughout, but families by-and-large resisted the temptation to spend all their time in public and adhered to the message to Stay Home, Save Lives.

As a thank-you, the Powys Teaching Health Board (PTHB) has created a certificate for children to show their appreciation in contributing to the county’s current low number of positive cases.

“So many people deserve our thanks at this time, and that includes the children and young people of Powys,” said PTHB spokesperson Adrian Osborne. “These certificates created by a member of staff at the Health Board aim to show our gratitude for everything they are doing.”

The certificates have already reached thousands of people on social media and are available from here
