Silver for Kathy in World Championships

Berriew Bowling Club’s Kathy Pearce has won a silver medal at the World Bowls Championships in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Kathy was competing for Wales in the Triples event, losing 17-6 in yesterday’s final to an Australian trio.

Playing alongside Emma Woodcock and Anwen Butten, Kathy won silver after the trio beat England 16-12 on the way to the final. Four years ago she won a bronze medal in the triples and fours at the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Adelaide.
