Eyewitnesses: Masked men raid jewellers

Mywelshpool understands that three masked men are believed to have attempted a raid this afternoon on a Welshpool jewellers.

Police confirmed earlier this evening that an ‘incident’ had taken place at the jewellers on Church Street but have not revealed further details.

And with information still sketchy, members of the public have said that it is believed three masked men raided the shop late afternoon. It is even believed, although still unconfirmed, that there was a confrontation in the shop before the raiders fled. It has also been said that some sort of gas or spray was used in the incident.
