Wright Taxis Keeping Us On Move

23/12/2010 @ 12:23

A Welshpool taxi company has been helping keep the people of the town and surrounding villages on the move during the period of heavy snow and frost

Wright Taxis, operated by Steve and Helen Wright, has been keeping nearly 700 Facebook friends up to date through the night with weather warnings.

Steve Wright has been posting the weather information as he works through the night and has gained lots of admirers for helping keep the town on the move.

"Steve's regular up-dates have proved invaluable," said one traveller. "He lets us know immediately the weather changes and keeps us right up to date with road conditions and accidents. It's a great service and much appreciated by all Steve's many friends."

Steve told MyWelshpool he was happy to provide the service. "It's just something I thought would help my friends and customers." he said. "I have seen terrible weather conditions over the last few weeks as I travel around the area and if my messages are helping keep people safe and on the move I'm happy to carry on.

"I get lots of replies from people who are grateful to receive the information as it helps them make big travel decisions. It's a service we are happy to provide."

Below is one of Steve's typical Facebook messages
