Air Cadets call for adult volunteers

Welshpool’s Royal Air Force Air Cadets are keen to hear from anyone that can support the organisation that is “dedicated to providing enriching opportunities for young people in the area”.

The group’s Keiron Cornell said that they are reaching out to adults across the area to consider volunteering and said the RAF Air Cadets programme “is not just about honing specific skills but fostering enthusiasm, commitment, and a desire to learn and grow”.

They parade on Monday and Friday evenings between 1845 and 2115 and anyone interested aged 20 and above can visit www.raf.mod.uk/aircadets to learn more, or contact 01938 578947 or adj.2364@rafac.mod.gov.uk.

“We welcome individuals from all walks of life, and no prior experience is necessary,” said Keiron. “Joining RAF Air Cadets is not just about your existing skills; it's about your enthusiasm, commitment, and the desire to learn and grow.”

Leadership Training is provided with volunteers promised experiences like flying, gliding, and adventurous training.
