The world’s fastest man over 60m is expected to make a special appearance in Welshpool next week.
Jeremiah Azu is set to join local British shotput champion Adele Nicoll for a summer athletics camp that is being held in the town on August 26 and 27.
The 24-year-old is the current World and European Indoor Champion over 60 metres, and last year became the first Welshman to run the 100 metres in under 10 seconds in wind-legal conditions.
Azu is a three-time British champion, twice indoors over 60m, once outdoors over 100m and a European Champion in the 4×100 metre relay.
He is joining Day Two of Adele’s summer camp just two weeks before heading off to Tokyo for the World Athletics Championships where he will be competing in the 100m.
