The incredible charity challenge being undertaken by former Welshpool professional boxer Warren Sinden has been postponed for a week, after ‘BigRig’ was struck down by a severe virus.
Warren intends to ‘ski’ a marathon – 42,195metres – outside the Town Hall to raise money for the MIND mental health charity.
The fitness fanatic lost a good friend to suicide during the pandemic and is determined to raise £1,000 for the charity.
But we’ll have to wait a further week to see if he can accomplish it after telling followers this morning: “I will have to postpone it a week.
“I am gutted to be honest but it is probably the right decision given the forecast.”
Warren will be set up outside of the Town Hall next Saturday (October 11) from 11.30am with a further two SkiErgs set up for members of the public to have a go.
He has set himself a challenge of breaking three hours to compleye the challenge.
