Pool crash at Caersws

Created on 30/10/2021 @ 10:16

Welshpool Town displayed their inconsistent form again last night, going down 5-0 at Caersws.

The Lilywhites went to the Recreation Ground on the back of a convincing win against Dolgellau last week but Caersws easily took the Lock Stock Ardal North East League points.

And Will Thomas, a former Welshpool favourite, did a lot of the damage netting a second half brace to ensure Pool didn’t recover from an awful first half.

Luke Mumfords put Caersws ahead on just 11 minutes and goals from Coney and Matthew Mumford saw Pool go in 3-0 down at the break. Thomas netted in ther 54th and 75th minutes.

In the other league fixture Carno won 4-2 at Machynlleth with goals from Jack Orbell, Joshua Mathews, Ioan Humphreys and Carwyn Williams. Machynlleth replied through Jac Petrie and Richard Evans.
