Trewern lift League Cup

Trewern lifted the JT Hughes Montgomeryshire Amateur League Cup with a dramatic injury time winner today.

Meifod were the fancied winners and looked set to complete a league and cup double until late in the final played at Llanymynech.

Meifod were ahead on 43 minutes through Phil Hughes but Trewern hit back through Tobias Divall on 83 minutes and with the game heading for extra times Joe Beddoes notched a dramatic late winner two minutes into injury time.
