Adele launches season in Lillehammer today
The 26-year-old drove to northern Europe from Welshpool with her sled in readiness to compete at the opening round of the International Bobsleigh Federation (IBSF) Europa Cup today.
And, as always, she is feeling confident.
“Driving is going very well,” said Adele last night. “The timesheets from training are promising and I’m in for a chance of doing very well.”
Adele only took up the winter sport last year and was a back-up for Team GB at the Winter Olympics in Beijing in February.
But she has decided to dedicate more time towards achieving her dream of becoming a dual Olympian, mixing her bobsleigh training with ongoing programmes for shot put competitions.
She will be competing today in the Monobob (single) competition, but is aiming to join the two-woman tour in the New Year.
