Aaron Ruff-Cock produced an all-round masterclass to guide his Montgoemry side to Shropshire Division Three victory over Bridgnorth II.
In a rain-reduced 25-over smash, Ruff-Cock blasted an unbeaten 86 from 48 balls, and Andrew Barker was unbeaten on 59 as Monty set an unasslable 183-3.
He then took 2-6 as Bridgnorth could only manage 73-7.
The weather claimed a lot of games, but the drinks were flowing in the Oak Inn after Guilsfield & Llandrinio lifted themselves out of the Division Three relegation zone with a comfortable victory over promotion-chasing Pontesbury, their first win of the season.
The bowlers kept it tight with Lewis Todd (3-8) and Steve Griffiths (3-18) reducing the visitors to 116 all out.
In reply, Andy Flann (37no) and David Williams (32) patiently laid the foundations with Rupert Shingler (15no) seeing the villagers across the line for a six-wicket win.
The Division Four local derby went the way of Newtown II who saw off the threat of Llanidloes to maintain their bid for promotion.
Mike Bellamore top scored with 37 as Newtown II posted 137-8, which proved too much for Llanidloes with Riley Bellamore (3-12) and Harry Aldridge (3-11) reducing them to 95 all out.
Montgomery II suffered a five-wicket defeat at home to Column II after posting a target of just 91.
