Newtown are flying up the Shropshire Premier Division after demolishing Quatt by seven wickets.
And it was the bowlers once again who did the damage with Dave Laird (4-16), Tom Anderson (2-26) and Nathan Smith (2-3) that stepped up to bowl their visitors out for just 61.
Newtown lost three wickets in response, with the win lifting them to eighth in the table.
In Division Two, Montgomery were dismissed for just 63 on their way to a six-wicket defeat that leaves them in the bottom two.
Guilsfield & Llandrinio ended their run of two defeats with a well-polished victory over bottom side Bridgnorth II in Division Three.
And it was that man again, Gary Meredith, who paved the way with his third half century in a row. He batted superbly for 80 runs as they set 217-6 from 35 overs. Adam Knight showed his calibre with 54 and there was a useful contribution from Jordan Evans (23).
A tight early response from the bowlers left Bridgnorth struggling with the run rate and they eventually ended well short on 166-7. Dave Williams took 3-19.
Welshpool’s 164 wasn’t enough to defend against title chasing St George’s who cruised to a five-wicket win. Dan Cadwallader (43 and 2-36) and Chris Proctor (26) were the high points of Welshpool’s day.
The big derby in Division Four fell victim to the weather with rain stopping play after Newtown II had set 216-6 for Llanidloes to chase. Callum Foulkes (80) and Mike Bellamore (75) were the Newtown run makers. The clouds burst with Llanidloes on 80-3 after 21 overs. Dan Lewis was unbeaten on 43.
Welshpool II clinched the Division Six derby with Montgomery II by five wickets after restricting their visitors to 132-6 from 35 overs.
Tom Corfield (46) and Rob Yewdall (33) did their bit for Montgomery, but Welshpool secured the win with two overs to spare and Pat Davies (36) top scoring.
Up-and-coming all-rounder Matthew White had a day to remember as Guilsfield & Llandrinio II made it five wins on the bounce in Division Seven.
It was a dramatic top-of-the-table tussle at leaders Condover II where, batting first, Gary Griffiths (38), Jinil Thilakan (38), Alex Parry (33) and Andy Pugh (28 retired not out) all contributed to an impressive total of 232-7 from 35 overs, with White (19no) and Paul Arkell (19no) also chipping in.
But just as the game appeared to be going the host’s way in reply, White struck with a devastating late spell of 3-8 to secure victory by just four runs to move up to second.
Newtown III continued their domination of Sunday Division Three with a 138-run win at Llanidloes II to make it six wins from six.
Rhys Jones (51), Reino de Klerk (48) and Lucas Lane (35) guided Newtown to 226-6, before Freddie Roberts (5-23) tore through the Llani batting to secure the whopping win.
