Dan ‘The Postman’ Hosiene delivered a first-class performance on Friday night in the Welshpool Summer Premier Darts League with an 86 average and a 4-0 win over Rhys Butler, including two 180s.
Hosiene continued his form with a 4-0 win over Haydn Jones. Butler dusted himself down to claim a victory on the night with a convincing 4-1 verdict over Cam Williams.
Welsh international Steve Price was as equally clinical with an 88 average and two 180s in his 4-1 win over Kacey Jones who hit 3x180s himself. Price also claimed a 4-0 win over Rob Shingler.
Jones got himself a win over top 8 hopeful Jamie Kynaston who suffered a hard night on the oche, also losing to Neil Astley who keeps his hopes alive for a top eight place.
Astley also picked up a draw against Welshpool’s Jamie Cater, claiming three points from four for the night.
Ewan Jones claimed a big win over last year's champion Gary Jones to consolidate his place in the top four. Gary also drew with newcomer, Dan Morgan, who also suffered a 4-1 defeat to former champion, Gareth Ashley.
Mitch Butler carried on his streak of form with a win over fellow Welshpool player, Shingler, 4-0. Top 8 contender, Dave Rix claimed a crucial win over Jordan Harding, who also lost out to Cater on the night.
It was the league’s all-or-nothing night on Friday with the winner, Steve Price, scooping a £260 prize pot.
