Changes at the top of Divisions Two and Three

The latest round of matches in the Welshpool & District Darts League saw some notable performances and shifts in standings across all divisions, writes Steve Lloyd.

Division One featured a commanding victory by Pheasant, while Division Two witnessed Black Lion overtaking Powis Arms A at the top of the table. In Division 3, Angel B rose to the top spot, capitalising on The Breidden's slip.

In Division One, Compass secured a decisive 6-1 win over Owl & Pussycat, maintaining their second place in the standings with 44 points.

Pheasant delivered an impressive 7-0 victory against Punchbowl, climbing from fourth to third place with 41 points, overtaking Westwood B, who narrowly defeated The Oak 4-3.

Westwood A also improved their standing, moving up to sixth after a 5-2 win against Green Dragon A.

The match between Red Lion and Kings Head A was postponed, leaving Kings Head A at the top with 46 points.

Division Two saw Black Lion move to the top of the table with a 5-2 win over Red Lion Misfits, now holding 45 points.

Powis Arms A, previously top, slipped to second after a narrow 4-3 victory against The Angel, reaching 44 points. The Lion Caerhowel edged out Kings Head B with a 4-3 win but remain in 10th.

Green Dragon C’s 5-2 victory over Grapes B helped them climb to seventh, swapping places with Red Lion Misfits. The match between Grapes A and Castle was postponed, leaving Castle in fourth place with 38 points.

In Division Three, Angel B’s 5-2 win over Grapes C propelled them to the top of the standings with 44 points, overtaking The Breidden, who lost 5-2 to Grapes D and now sit second with the same points.

Horseshoe Arddleen remain third after a strong 6-1 win over Owl & Pussycat B. Compass B held fourth after a 4-3 victory against Talbot. Castle B moved up to eighth with a 4-3 win over Powis Arms B, who stay seventh.
