With just three weeks remaining in the Welshpool Premier League Darts sponsored by the Green Dragon (Welshpool) league phase, every point is proving crucial as the race for the top eight places heats up.

Kacey Jones remains the man to catch after another impressive night. A hard-fought 3-3 draw with Ewan Jones was followed by a convincing 4-1 win over Mitch Butler, with two 180s helping him strengthen his grip at the top of the table.

Steve Price continues to apply the pressure in second place, producing a solid 4-2 victory over Gareth Ashley who hit back to back checkouts of 105 and 106 to stay firmly in the title hunt. Ashley also had another 100+ checkouts of 127 and 124 with a 180 on the night also.

Ewan Jones kept his challenge alive with a dominant 4-0 win over Cam Williams, including 108 and 129 checkouts, before sharing the spoils with league leader Kacey Jones in one of the matches of the night.

Jamie Kynaston boosted his Finals Night hopes with a comfortable 4-1 win over Rhys Butler both hitting a 180, while Dan Hosiene strengthened his own top-eight ambitions with a 4-0 whitewash of Alex Howard before battling to a 3-3 draw with Neil Astley who had three 180s on his return to nightly action.

Gary Jones enjoyed a productive evening, defeating Neil Astley 4-1 and Jamie Cater 4-0 with checkouts of 100 and 16 in his games, while Rob Shingler picked up valuable points with a 3-3 draw against Cam Williams and a 4-2 win over Dave Rix, keeping himself firmly in the Finals Night conversation.

Elsewhere, Jack Price continued his impressive season with a 4-2 victory over Dave Rix, while Rhys Butler claimed a 4-1 win over Mitch Butler despite later falling to Jamie Kynaston.

With only three weeks left, the battle for the top eight qualifying places is set to go right down to the wire. Every leg, every point and every checkout could be the difference between booking a place on Finals Night or narrowly missing out.
