Carnival celebrating Landmarks and Connections
A parade is expected to start at 12.30pm, with an array of floats, prams and walking participants in fancy dress set to provide a colourful start to a fun-packed day.
“You don’t have to live in Llanfair to take part, just come and join in,” a spokesperson told us.
“There are prizes galore and awards are given for the best adult, best child and most comical float. There is also a new prize for the best Young Farmers entry and our traditional prize for the best entry from one of the holiday parks.”
After the success of the entertainment provided at the last Carnival, the organising team have once again engaged a local owner of traditional fairground attractions to be present.
There will be inflatables again which include a disco dome, assault course, pole joust, human demolition and bungee run plus some special inflatables just for the under 5’s.
There is a magic and illusion show for the kids, a bar for the adults and hot and cold food for all.
Introducing the 2025 Carnival Queen – Bronwen Burns
This year’s Carnival Queen is Bronwen Burns, from Llanfair Caereinion and a student at Ysgol Bro Caereinion.
Bronwen, 14, has dreamed of becoming Carnival Queen since watching her sister Rhian take the title in 2017.
Now in Year 9, Bronwen is active in her community - she attends Air Cadets, JAM youth club, and sings in her school choir which has reached the national finals of the URDD Eisteddfod.
She is passionate about her hometown and excited to represent it with pride and joy this summer.
