Book launch and meet the author

Awen, in association with Plenty Wenlock Publishing, are launching Folklore of the Tanat Valley (Chwedlau Gwerin Dyffryn Tanat) by local author, Dr. Jack Hunter this weekend.

This beautifully written volume covers the long and evolving tradition of myths, legends and stories from the valley and surrounding area.

From fairies and giants, sunken courts, gateways to the underworld, ghosts, living stones and UFOs, to strange lights, saints, spirits and more, the reader is taken on an enchanting journey through landscape and time.

There will be an introductory talk by Dr. Hunter followed by the opportunity to meet the author as well as buy a signed copy.

The event runs from 7pm-9pm on Saturday, at Awen, Llanfyllin.
