Welshpool will officially celebrate Pride Month by flying the rainbow flag outside the Tourist Information Centre and also by placing bunting outside the Town Hall.
Pride Month serves as a platform for LGBTQ+ individuals and allies to celebrate diversity, raise awareness about LGBTQ+ rights, and foster a sense of community and acceptance.
And at last night’s Town Council Events & Planning Committee meeting, the Town Council agreed to purchase the bunting after being told the local LGBTQ+ network in Welshpool had already bought the flag for the council to fly on one of its poles outside the TIC.
The Pride Month celebration will run through until June 30.
