A major high street brand that offers anything from dry cleaning and shoe repairs to key cutting and passport photos wants to open in Welshpool.
Timpson has been a family-run business since 1865 and has more than 2,000 outlets employing over 4,500 people across the UK.
It now wants to construct a 22 sqm pod in the middle of Tesco Car Park where it will offer dry cleaning, shoe repairs, engraving, watch repairs, key cutting and passport photos.
The plans will be discussed by Welshpool Town Council at its Events & Planning Committee meeting on Wednesday evening.
The pod, which will take up four car parking spaces, as well as advertising signage and branding will be considered by town planners, who will then submit their comments to Powys County Council for a final decision.
