Guilsfield complete “dream signing”

Guilsfield have made one of the signings of the summer after unveiling former TNS legend Greg Draper as their new recruit.

Draper, 31, who has won a full cap with New Zealand, joins from The New Saints where he won an incredible nine Welsh Premier League titles and five Welsh Cups, finishing with the golden boot twice on his way to bagging over 150 goals for the club.

The striker will remain as a coach at the TNS set-up, but is stepping away from the rigours of full time professional training with Guilsfield playing in the tier two Cymru North.

“It's a dream signing for Guilsfield, to get a player of Greg's standard at the club,” said manager, Nathan Leonard.

“We hope it helps improve the team on the pitch but also with growth off it. We've been very fortunate to get Greg in and I'm sure it will give everyone at the club a huge buzz!”

Guilsfield travel to TNS this weekend in a pre-season friendly, however Draper won’t be involved.
